Disney-owned Nat Geo takes up to $7,500 off 2028 private jet trips

National Geographic Expeditions is knocking $5,000 per person off three 2028 private jet trips, including a brand-new food tour. Returning jet guests get $2,500 more. Book by Dec. 17.

If you’ve ever wanted to eat your way around the world on a private jet, National Geographic Expeditions just made it a little less expensive.

But most still can’t afford it.

The Disney-owned travel brand is taking $5,000 per person off select 2028 private jet trips, Laughing Place reported Sept. 18. Travelers who have already done a Nat Geo private jet trip can knock off another $2,500, for a total of $7,500.

The deadline to book is Dec. 17, 2026.

Which 2028 Nat Geo private jet trips are on sale?

Three trips are part of the deal:

• Around the World by Private Jet, departing Jan. 4 and Jan. 31, 2028

• Wildlife of the World by Private Jet, departing March 10, 2028

• Tasting the World by Private Jet, a new trip departing in April 2028

The Jan. 31 trip runs through Feb. 24, according to Nat Geo’s terms page. That’s more than three weeks of hopping continents on a private plane.

What is Nat Geo’s new Tasting the World trip?

Tasting the World by Private Jet is a 23-day, 22-night trip about food. Instead of racing between landmarks, guests learn about each place through its cooking, its markets, and its food traditions.

According to Nat Geo’s own listing, the trip starts in Japan and wraps up in Spain. The company hasn’t posted the full list of stops in between on its public page yet.

As Laughing Place put it, guests will “explore history, geography, and culture through every meal.” That’s a nice way of saying you’ll be eating a lot.

Who gets the extra $2,500 off?

The full $7,500 discount isn’t for everyone.

The base $5,000 savings is an early-booking deal. The extra $2,500 is only for returning National Geographic Expeditions private jet guests. So it’s a loyalty bonus for people who have already flown with Nat Geo.

The fine print also says trips must be booked at least 60 days before departure, and the offer can’t be combined with other promotions. Pricing depends on availability when you book.

How much do Nat Geo private jet trips cost?

Nat Geo doesn’t list the full fare in the offer itself. You get exact pricing when you book through the company or a travel agent.

When a company can take $5,000 off per person and still call it an early-bird deal, the sticker price isn’t small. Private jet trips are the priciest way to travel with Nat Geo.

In other words, this is bucket list territory.

Is National Geographic Expeditions owned by Disney?

Yes. Disney holds a majority stake in National Geographic, which came along with its purchase of 21st Century Fox in 2019.

The travel side, National Geographic Expeditions, is sold alongside Adventures by Disney under Disney’s Signature Experiences group. That’s the same part of the company that runs Disney Cruise Line and the Aulani resort in Hawaii.

The two brands split the job. Adventures by Disney leans toward family trips with a bit of Disney polish. Nat Geo Expeditions leans toward science, wildlife, and history, with experts and photographers along for the ride.

If you have Disney Vacation Club points, some Nat Geo trips can be booked with them too, according to the DVC site.

Should you book a 2028 trip now?

That depends on how much money you have and how sure you are about your 2028 calendar. Booking this early means locking in a very big trip more than a year out.
