It seems Paramount Skydance isn’t the only one making deals with the Middle East. Disney has also made a deal within the Gulf Region of the Middle East. This time, Disney is teaming up with Middle Eastern streaming companies Shahid and OSN+ for a new three-in-one bundle that will include Disney+. It is being called a “first-of-its-kind” across the internet. Now Disney has a new theme park coming to Abu Dhabi and a new streaming bundle deal with streamers in that region.
The subscription plan launches today and will be offered across the GCC region. According to Deadline, all three apps will be made available through Shahid, with a special “three-for-the-price-of-two” deal and unified billing. Giving customers in the area a great deal and giving Disney a way to increase its Disney+ subscriber count.
For Disney, raising the subscriber count is a win. There will be an estimated 28 million SVOD subscriptions in 13 Arabic countries by 2029.
