WDW News Today gave the $5.29 Popcorn Crafted Soda a 1 out of 7, its lowest score of the whole party. The $9.79 Kermit sundae got a perfect 7, and one of every food and nonalcoholic drink runs $95.85 before tax.
The Popcorn Crafted Soda, the oddest new item at Disney Jollywood Nights 2026, got a 1 out of 7 from WDW News Today. That was the lowest score WDWNT gave anything at the party, in a review posted Sunday, Nov. 8, the morning after opening night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney Food Blog, which tried it Saturday, said the $5.29 drink had “zero popcorn taste.” WDWNT said it smelled like burnt theme park popcorn and tasted like “a grainy, watered-down Coke Zero.”
When Disney revealed it in October, we said it sounded like a movie theater in a cup. Reviewers say it doesn’t even taste like the popcorn.
At the other end, the $9.79 Kermit Chocolate-Pistachio Sundae got WDWNT’s top score, a 7. The two reviews priced 15 party-exclusive foods and nonalcoholic drinks. One of each comes to $95.85 before tax, by our math, more than half the cost of a $169 ticket.
Here’s a look at the Jollywood Nights 2026 food:
What’s the best food at Jollywood Nights 2026?
-
Kermit Chocolate-Pistachio Sundae, $9.79 (Hollywood Scoops): WDWNT called it “dessert perfection.” DFB liked it too but said chocolate took over and the pistachio was “very faint.” It comes in a souvenir cup while supplies last.
-
A Twix on a Classic Pie, $5.99 (Fairfax Fare): A 6 from WDWNT, which said it “tastes exactly like how you think it should.” DFB said the Twix is “present in every bite.”
-
Bing Bong Candy Lemonade, $6.79 (Market): Back from last year. WDWNT gave it a 6 and called it “perfect for kids,” though it warned they’ll be up all night.
-
Candy Cane Cooler, $5.49: A nonalcoholic lemonade with mint, pomegranate and sweet cream from a new lounge in Animation Courtyard. WDWNT gave it a 6. DFB said the pomegranate comes through first.
WDWNT also gave a 6 to the nonalcoholic Caramel-Apple Cider ($5.29) at Market, saying it tastes like Werther’s caramel corn melted into cider. Werther’s is a party sponsor, so that’s on-message.
DFB tried a few things WDWNT didn’t and liked them:
-
Partysaurus Rex Brookie, $5.79 (Market): A brownie-cookie with white chocolate ganache. DFB said it’s a large portion and “easily shareable.”
-
Miss Piggy Strawberry Sundae, $9.79 (Hollywood Scoops): Back from last year and heavy on strawberry, DFB said.
-
Macaroni and Cheese Croquettes, $5.49 (Baseline Tap House): Gooey inside, but the dipping sauce was “much spicier than we expected.”
What should you skip at Jollywood Nights?
Both new crafted sodas at Ice Cold Hydraulics, for starters.
-
Popcorn Crafted Soda, $5.29: WDWNT’s lone 1. DFB added that the popcorn on top “got soggy very fast.”
-
Churro Crafted Soda, $5.29: WDWNT gave it a 2 and called it “an absolute mess.” DFB said it tasted like Coca-Cola with milk.
-
Blitzen Banana Bread Pudding, $5.49 (Backlot Express): DFB said it “tasted very bready, and that’s it.”
-
Salted Caramel Mini Churros, $6.29 (Ice Cold Hydraulics): A 4 from WDWNT, which said they’re so sweet and heavy you should share. DFB called the chocolate center “pretty mushy.”
Skip both sodas and you save $10.58.
Where did the Jollywood Nights reviews disagree?
-
Yuletide Ham Popover, $6.79 (Fairfax Fare): WDWNT gave it a 5 and called it “a really good value,” but wanted more flavor from the gravy. DFB said the popover “tasted a little stale.”
-
Cookie Butter Croissant Beignets, $5.79 (Epic Eats): A 5 from WDWNT, which said a bite is like cookie butter straight from the jar. DFB liked them and said two beignets was plenty.
-
Teriyaki Chicken Pot Stickers, $6.49 (Market): WDWNT gave them a 5 but said three pieces is light for the price. DFB found “not a lot of filling.”
Neither outlet reviewed the returning Hickory Holiday Mac at Backlot Express from our October menu story.
How much does Jollywood Nights food cost?
Most snacks run $5.29 to $6.79, and the two souvenir-cup sundaes top out at $9.79. The four picks both outlets liked, the Kermit sundae, Twix pie, Bing Bong lemonade and Candy Cane Cooler, come to $28.06 before tax.
When can you get Jollywood Nights food?
Only on party nights at Hollywood Studios. Guests can enter at 5:30 p.m., and the party runs 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on select nights through Jan. 5, 2027. Tickets cost $169 to $199 plus tax, and Nov. 14 and Nov. 28 are already sold out, WDWNT reported Nov. 4.
Kermit got a perfect score, and the popcorn soda got a 1. It’s not easy being green, but it’s apparently easier than being popcorn soda.
