Disney seemingly wanted to continue the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise without the popular character of Captain Jack Sparrow, who was made popular by actor Johnny Depp. The last “Pirates of the Caribbean” film did not perform all that well stateside, but the films are still very popular in Asia. After accusations were made against Depp, Disney immediately dumped the actor and announced an all-female “Pirates of the Caribbean” film, which was so 2020 of them.
The franchise has been rumored to be on again and off again many times. The current status is that there are still two films, one with Margo Robbie and one with a reboot film. However, Disney is seemingly fine with cashing in on Captain Jack Sparrow when it fits their audience. Enter Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, the Disney Adventure.
“Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen”

Disney has announced that guests can watch a “Pirates of the Caribbean”-themed show featuring Captain Jack Sparrow on Disney Adventure.
The show will appear on the Disney Imagination Garden stage.
Here is the official information about it,
“Join Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates as they battle with an ink-squirting giant squid and hunt for a rare, dazzling treasure during “Captain Jack Sparrow & The Siren Queen.” This all-new show coming to the Disney Imagination Garden stage will have swashbucklers of all ages singing a hearty “Yo ho!” as you’re recruited for a thrilling journey with the sea’s most charming, yet roguish, captain and his pirate crew.”
It doesn’t seem that Disney is ready to get rid of Captain Jack Sparrow just yet. However, we do not know if we will ever get Johnny Depp back as the infamous captain.
The Disney Adventure is scheduled to set sail from Singapore on December 15, 2025. It will offer the new “Pirates of the Caribbean” show, a Marvel experience, and more.
