When I think of the Evil Queen and the people that I could see player her Gal Gadot is not one of them. Not because she’s a bad actress, but because she always seems so sweet and gracious. I just can’t picture her as the villain, but according to Deadline, Gadot is in final negotiations to play the poison apple giver in the live action adaptation of Snow White.
“Sources tell Deadline that Gadot is in final negotiations to play the Evil Queen in Disney’s live-action adaptation of Snow White, the one that started it all for the studio’s legendary slate of animated features.”
They said that studio executives have been wanting her to play the character since they started working on a live-action adaptation.
“Gadot was also intrigued at the opportunity of joining stars like Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett, who previously played iconic villains from the Disney vault. After scheduling was worked out, a deal closed this week.”
She will join Rachel Zegler, who has been cast as Snow White in the film with production starting next year.
Personally, I’ve gotten tired of all the live-action remakes, but I am a Gal Gadot fan, so maybe it can change my mind.
