Disney must be feeling the financial pressure as they announced that they’re discounting theme park tickets for kids just a few days into their new fiscal year at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Walt Disney World has unveiled a new promotional deal set to launch on November 14, 2023. This unique offering targets families planning a springtime trip. When you buy a full-price 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package, which encompasses accommodations at a selected Walt Disney World Resort hotel, theme park admissions, and the Disney Dining Plan, you’ll receive 50% off children’s tickets (for kids aged 3-9) and their Disney Dining Plans.
The “Kids Play & Dine at Half Price” promotion is applicable for stays on most nights from March 3, 2024, to June 30, 2024. Walt Disney World suggests that this deal is ideal for visitors who appreciate the ease of settling their accommodation, tickets, and meals expenses before their visit.
Disneyland Resort is introducing a special kids’ ticket offer starting October 24, priced at a starting rate of $50 daily for children aged 3 to 9. This promotion is valid for 1, 2, or 3-day park admissions. Guests can use these tickets for either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park and have the option to enhance their experience with the park hopper and Disney Genie+ features. These tickets can be used from Jan. 8 to March 10, 2024, with no blackout dates.
Most who follow Disney Parks know that Disney doesn’t offer up discounts like this unless they feel they have to. With so much talk about declining revenue and park attendance, it’s possible that Disney’s end-of-fiscal year totals were not good.
We’ll find out just how Disney is doing (good or bad) on November 8, 2023 when they hold their next shareholder meeting.
