The Walt Disney Company has been working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for 40 years and to celebrate the milestone anniversary, they have just launched a new animated short and made a special 40th Anniversary Mickey Mouse plush.
“The holidays are the perfect time for giving and of course, giving back. This holiday season, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is launching a three-minute animated short entitled “From Our Family to Yours.” This animated short highlights festive traditions and shared experiences that connect generations and make lifelong memories. It features two new lovable characters, Lola and her granddaughter, alongside a familiar friend – Mickey Mouse.”
Here is the new animated short:
(Yes get tissues. Especially is you love(d) your Grandma.)
It’s not really about Make-A-Wish, but it’s about family and kindness. (Something corporate Disney needs a reminder about sometimes.)
The repaired Mickey Mouse plush from the animated short, is available now online at shopDisney.com and at Disney stores in Europe and online at shopDisney.co.uk. For every Mickey Mouse Vintage Holiday Plush Disney sells through Jan. 31, 2021 Shop Disney will donate 25% of the purchase price to Make-A-Wish.

The song from the short “Love Is A Compass” is performed by 19-year-old British singer/songwriter Griff. You can find the song on all the major music streaming services.
Disney is also promising another Anniversary surprise coming in December:
“The Wishes Come True Blue color collection and Mickey Mouse vintage holiday plush are just part of our anniversary celebration. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for a first look at another drop coming in Dec. and visit Wish.org/Disney to learn more!”
Please donate to Make-A-Wish if you can. I can not stress the impact it has for kids and families. You can donate anytime, not just during the holidays. They grant wishes all year long!
