Disney Cancels ‘Oogie Boogie Bash’ Halloween Event at Disneyland

Disney has just canceled the ‘Oogie Boogie Bash’ Halloween event at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland.

This comes after Disneyland resort reservations have been canceled through August 22nd. Earlier today we heard from Universal that Halloween Horror Nights have been canceled at both Universal Studios and Universal Orlando.

The OC Register has reported the news that event has been canceled by Disneyland officials, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The event was expected to start in September and run through Halloween.

Disneyland moved the Halloween event from the Disneyland park to Disney California Adventure last year, and added a World of Color water show. Guests could also enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark, Luigi’s Honkin Halloween and Mators Graveyard JamBooree at the event.

Walt Disney World canceled their Halloween event, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, a few weeks ago, so it really isn’t much of a surprise that Disneyland canceled as well.

Both Disney and Universal said they plan on bringing back their Halloween events in 2021.
