Disney has just released huge Black Friday deals on Hulu and Disney+. These aren’t deals for three months but a whole year at steep discounts. Since their fiscal year started in October, this will all count toward their Q1 2025 subscriber numbers. Of course, both services are for ad-supported tiers because Disney makes more money from these customers, and during the 2024 year-end investor call Bob Iger discussed raising prices on streaming, saying,
“It’s not just about raising pricing; it’s about moving consumers to the advertiser-supported side of the streaming platform.”
Disney could also want to increase their audience for upcoming Disney+ shows like “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.”
Hulu is being offered for 90% off!
New and existing customers (if you haven’t been a Hulu subscriber in the last month) can get Hulu for .99 a month for 12 months. It will then auto-renew at whatever the current price is.
This deal is valid through 11:59 PM PST on 12/2/24.
Given the current price of $9.99 a month this is a huge savings for those wanting to try Hulu, but you will have to sit through a bunch of ads.
Disney Hulu and Disney+ Duo Basic Bundle (with Ads) – $2.99
This is a 72% savings over a year. Normally, the cost is $10.99 a month. After the year is up, the price will be billed at the current rate.
As with the Hulu deal, this is for new and returning subscribers who have not been Hulu or Disney+ subscribers in the past month.
Those with the Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu bundles are not eligible for this deal.
You must subscribe by 11:59 PST on 12/2/24.
Either deal allows customers to cancel anytime, which goes into effect at the end of the billing period. If you cancel part way through the month you will not be given a refund or credit.
This deal is just in time for the upcoming “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” show, which debuts on December 3, 2024. Dream Productions is the Pixar “Inside Out” spin-off show, which premieres on December 11, 2024. Marvel’s “What If…?”: Season 3 will debut on December 22, 2024.
You can sign up at Hulu.com or Disneyplus.com.
