Disney Announces New Position and Key Leadership Shifts at Disneyland, Disney Signature, and Shanghai.

Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, made some big announcements today, including an entirely new position and shifts in Disney leadership roles at the Disneyland Resort, Disney Signature Experiences, and Shanghai Disney.

The new position is the President, The Walt Disney Company Major Events Integration.

Previous Disneyland President Ken Potrock has been named to this newly created position. According to Disney Potrock’s new job is a big endeavor that makes him “responsible for developing comprehensive, cross-company plans to maximize the value of large-scale sports, entertainment and tourism events ranging from the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics to the 250th Anniversary of the nation.”

Potrock will now report to both Josh D’Amaro and will have accountability to ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro.

Of course, this leads to a shift in leadership as Potrock is moved up and others are shifted around on the corporate ladder.
