When you think of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade you likely think about the performers, the holiday, the history, the amazing character balloons themed to popular culture icons and the floats!
This year Disney is going to use the parade to advertise their upcoming new ship, the Disney Wish, with a special float in the 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. (Side note, the Macy’s parade is 95! Wow!)
The float is being called “Magic Meets the Sea” and it’s a floating advertisement for the Disney Cruise Lines, particularly the Disney Wish.
There will be 15 Disney “friends” aboard to “represent the stories and experiences on the Disney Wish” including” “Captain Minnie Mouse, Princess Tiana, Aladdin and Jasmine, Cinderella and more.”
I mean it’s one of their more imaginative marketing strategies, I’ll totally give them that. I respect the creativity on this one! Affluent New Yorkers is one of their top demographics so it really makes sense.
You can check out the new float during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thanksgiving Day, November 25 from 9AM – Noon (in all time zones) on NBC.
