An animatronic in the early caveman scene of Spaceship Earth in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT park had its head slide off. The attraction continued to run yesterday, August 25, with the animatronic’s head lying on its shoulders.
Guests riding Spaceship Earth in EPCOT got a bit of a surprise yesterday when one of the animatronic cavemen had their head slide off.
The cavemen are located at the start of the Omnimover attraction.
It seems that the ride vehicle was stopped in front of the animatronic, which happens on that attraction for special loading or unloading.
TikTok user Kat posted a video of the eerie-looking animatronic
They posted, “What in the Disney Magic is this?”
The animatronic continued to move and act out the scene with its head lying on its shoulders.

Spaceship Earth is reportedly heading towards a refurbishment and update, according to the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress panel at D23.
While I don’t want to see the attraction ruined, it really needs updating given its age.
