Dinosaur and the Rest of DinoLand U.S.A. Will Close Early 2026

We finally have a closure date for Dinosaur, Restaurantosaurus, and any remaining DinoLand U.S.A. locations. These will all shut down on February 2, 2026.

This means the final day to ride Dinosaur will be February 1, 2026, before it is closed for a retheme to Indiana Jones.

As the remainder of that section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom shuts down, walls will go up to complete the transformation to the new Tropical Americas area of the theme park, opening in 2027.

Sadly, The Boneyard shut down yesterday, September 1, 2025. My daughter is sad over this closure, as that attraction is partially responsible for her interest in archaeology. We had to practically pull her out of the play area every time we visited when she was young.

Tropical Americas

This new area will feature two signature attractions, including an Indiana Jones ride and a new Encanto ride.

A carousel featuring animals from the region will also open in this area.
