Oopsie!
Did Lucasfilm inadvertently prove that Rey and Kylo Ren will join forces in The Rise of Skywalker, by filing a copyright claim on videos showing a few images of the pair presumably fighting Emperor Palpatine together?
It would appear to be the case, according to blog Disney Star Wars is Dumb. According to the site, YouTuber WorldofGeekdom got hit with a Copyright Claim by Lucasfilm for daring to show the images.

The “forbidden image” was later retweeted by another YouTuber, Jeremy at Geeks + Gamers.
Disney is blocking videos showing this image. Thanks for confirming it 😅

So it would appear that Kylo does “turn to the light” at some point, and even wields a blue lightsaber. If the leaks are true, it’s likely that Kylo weilds Luke’s blade while Rey weilds Leia’s.
And who could they be fighting against? Well, the inexplicably not dead Emperor Sheev Palpatine, now dressed in a snazzy red and black robe to match his red Sith Troopers. Because, you know, red is a thing in this trilogy.

Whelp, the cat’s out of the bag. This is unsurprising because Star Wars fans usually have these movies all figured out before they premiere.
However, Lucasfilm really needs to learn about the Streisand Effect…
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20. Ticket pre-orders are supposedly doing well, but even that is still debatable.
