The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen is officially coming back, and we finally have a date to prove it! Marvel Studios has just dropped the release date for “Daredevil: Born Again,” and fans everywhere are getting ready to see Matt Murdock back in action.
Marvel Studios’ and Disney+’s favorite blind lawyer-slash-vigilante is set to return in Spring 2025. The highly anticipated Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again” will be streaming starting March 4, 2025. That’s right—the Man Without Fear will officially kick off his latest chapter, bringing new episodes to eager fans who have waited since Netflix’s “Daredevil” was unceremoniously canceled in 2018.
Starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio reprising his role as Wilson Fisk (a.k.a. the Kingpin), the series will continue Daredevil’s gritty story with a new twist, fully integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This marks one of the longest seasons in MCU history for Disney+, and it looks like Marvel is giving us plenty of content to chew on.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series promises to explore Matt’s life as he juggles being a lawyer by day and a hero by night in a post-Blip New York City, potentially tying into the larger stories that Phase Five has set in motion. Fans have already seen Cox’s Daredevil popping up in other Marvel projects, like “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”, but “Born Again” will be the first time since the Netflix era that the character will get to really shine on his own.
Vincent D’Onofrio has teased a deeper dive into the complex relationship between Kingpin and Daredevil, and if their past encounters have taught us anything, it’s that sparks—and fists—are going to fly. Plus, rumors are swirling about potential guest appearances, including characters from the larger Defenders-verse and maybe even some fresh MCU faces. One thing is certain: The MCU is setting the stakes high for this show, and it’s bound to get brutal.
“Born Again” takes its name from Frank Miller’s iconic comic storyline, although it’s still unclear how much the Disney+ series will borrow from the source material. One thing’s for sure, though—the darker, more grounded tone that made Netflix’s Daredevil a fan favorite will likely be mixed with some of the new, lighter MCU humor. Expect emotional drama, stunning fight sequences, and all the tension you can handle when Hell’s Kitchen’s Devil gets his time to shine again.
Did You Know? The original “Born Again” comic storyline, published in 1986, was pivotal in redefining Daredevil as a character, focusing on his downfall at the hands of the Kingpin—and his rise back to power. It’s hailed as one of the greatest Daredevil stories ever written, and fans hope the show’s title indicates at least some nod to the comics’ darker and more intense themes. If you’re ready to see Matt Murdock take a beating and give one right back, mark your calendars for March 4, 2025. Hell’s Kitchen isn’t going to save itself, and the Devil is coming back to remind everyone why you never count him out.
