‘Daredevil’ Actor Charlie Cox Was Reportedly on Set For ‘Spider-Man 3’ Filming

According to Comicbook.com Charlie Cox was on set and has wrapped up filming for ‘Spider-Man 3’. Cox played Daredevil/Matt Murdock in the Netflix “Daredevil” and “Defenders” shows.

“Rumors of Charlie Cox having a role in Spider-Man 3 have surfaced but ComicBook.com has learned that Cox has been on set for the upcoming Spider-Man 3 from Sony and Marvel Studios. Cox is expected to be playing Matt Murdock in the film but it is unclear whether or not he will be portraying the same version of his Matt Murdock/Daredevil character that fans came to know in multiple seasons of shows on Netflix or if he is going to be treated to a fresh start and reboot of the character set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Of course, they point out that we know this is a multiverse, which is why we have different incarnations of the characters. So it’s unclear if it’s the same Daredevil.

The Netflix show was extremely popular and fans have been campaigning for Marvel to bring either movies with the Netflix/Marvel characters or new show. I am one of the people that would love to see that happen.

Kevin Feige didn’t shoot the idea down either according to ScreenRant stating:

FEIGE: I look at anything that’s happened before, whether it’s our movies, whether it’s Marvel entertainment TV series, in particular, obviously the comics, video games, cartoons, all of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That’s the way that comics have worked for many years. So, we’ll see.

I hope we do “see'” because a lot of fans would be very happy to have those characters return with their Netflix actors.
