Couple Orders Disney Socks From Temu Gets A Big Laugh From What Arrives

The problem with ordering items sight unseen is that you don’t know what you are going to actually get. A couple recently found this out when they purchased Disney socks from Temu.

While not a deal breaker for most people, the hilarious way the manufacturer tried to get around copyright is worth the laugh. I have a feeling Temu will be selling a ton of these socks now.

At first they look fine. Chip, Donald, Piglet, Mickey, and Minnie socks are in the pile. Each sock is a different color with a clearly identifiable character stitched on the cuff.

The issue with the Temu Disney Socks is when you look at the bottom of the foot, which would not be visible to anyone if you are wearing shoes.

The manufacturer didn’t change the visible copyrighted character faces but instead changed the names in a place people wouldn’t see.

Chip is now “Chib.”

Mickey is now “Miikey.”

Minnie is spelled “Mimnee.”

Donald is now “Tonaid.”

Poor Piglet is now “Bigeet.”

Of course they have a sense of humor about it. I think people are going to rush out to buy these after the video. Frankly, the part that shows looks fine. Not that I’m condoning Chinese knock offs, but people are going to scoop these up like crazy now.

Here are some of the comments on the interesting socks.

“Those are Digney socks”

“This is EXACTLY why you order from temu. I bought Pepsi socks once and they came saying “peepi”.  theyre my favorite.”

“They can’t sue us” ahh socks”

“They’re going to Didney Worl in those socks”

“Temu should pay you for this most convincing ad”

“We have Disney at home.”

“Wdym I would pay extra for these.”

“Tonaid took me out.”

Sadly I can’t seem to find the link. I think they did in fact get bought out. But some people got them spelled correctly so it was hit or miss anyway. Just like shopping on Temu.

What do you think? Which Disney rename was your favorite?
