Today, we have some construction images showing the progress of the new “Cars” area coming to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This new section will feature the Piston Peak National Park.

As a reminder, here is the concept art for the new Cars Piston Peak National Forest area.
I clipped out some images to give you a better look at the size and scope of the area.
The new attraction is where the Rivers of America used to be. You can clearly make out the pathway between Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Haunted Mansion. The big white building behind the mansion is the show building. The house is just the facade.
They are building up large dirt mounds to develop the Piston Peak area.
The mound can reportedly be seen over the walls now.
Not much to see yet, but it is coming along.
