We have one casualty of the 50th Anniversary Celebration. The amazing and incredibly popular Cinderella Dream Lights will not be returning for the holiday season.
Disney has Cinderella Castle decked out for their 50th Anniversary Celebration and they likely don’t want to take it all down to add the lights, and they want to do a holiday projection show alternated with the Beacon of Magic effects.
It’s understandable but a bit of a bummer.
Due to the 50th Anniversary being 18 months long, I wouldn’t expect the Cinderella Dream Lights to return until 2023. I’m hoping they do bring them back because they are absolutely gorgeous!
But we are getting an actual holiday event at the Magic Kingdom called Disney Very Merriest After Hours. So there’s still plenty of reasons to celebrate!
