Christmas Returns to Walt Disney World With ‘Disney Very Merriest After Hours’

Disney has finally announced its new holiday offering with another “after hours event” called “Disney Very Merriest After Hours.”

The event will start on November 8 and will run on select nights through December 21.  So they’re ending it before Christmas.

They are adding an extra hour as it says “four hours” in the write-up.  That’s okay I’m sure they’re adding extra people and still calling it an “after hours” event too.

Here’s the write-up:

a new special-ticketed event, will debut Nov. 8 before all the rest of the festive fun. It will be available on select nights through Dec. 21. The four hours of festivities will delight guests with “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks,” Disney characters throughout the park, holiday music and décor, treats included and so much more! As with other Disney After Hours events, a limited number of tickets will be sold for this event. It’s held after regular park operating hours, with lower wait times and access to more than 20 select attractions.

The Magic Kingdom will be decorated for the holidays and after dark there will be  special holiday projections on Cinderella Castle. It will alternate periodically with the Beacon of Magic they are doing for the 50th Anniversary.

Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.  I’m hoping it isn’t the disaster it was last time.
