It seems that “Deadpool & Wolverine” won’t be the only appearance Chris Evans makes in the MCU.
According to The Wrap, Chris Evans will also be returning for the next Avengers film, “Avengers: Doomsday.”
As of now, we do not know who he will play or how much screen time he will receive. In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” he reprised his role as Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four. With the “Avengers: Doomsday” film, he could be back as a variant of Steve Rogers. Who knows?
This news comes a few months after it was announced that Robert Downey Jr. would also return as Doctor Doom.
The Russo brothers will direct “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.” They also directed “Captain America: Civil War” and the last two Avengers films, “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” They also directed “The Gray Man” with him in it as well. It makes sense that they have a good relationship with Evans and can get him back.
Everything we thought we knew and all the actors we thought were gone from the MCU are apparently back on the table.
What we do know is that “Avengers: Doomsday” will hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
