Charlie Cox is Daredevil in the MCU: Confirmed?

The MCU version of Daredevil will be Charlie Cox, says Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

What Feige is not saying is whether or not Charlie Cox puts in a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home as has been rumored. However, the chances of that rumor being true have increased exponentially.

Cinemablend quoted Kevin Feige as saying the following…

“If you were to see Daredevil in upcoming things, Charlie Cox, yes, would be the actor playing Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that, remains to be seen.”

There’s been some debate as to whether or not the Netflix Daredevil series and its spinoffs (Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and The Defenders) took place in the MCU. The first season made reference to the Battle of New York (from the first Avengers movie), but connections to the MCU seemingly fell off after that.

It’s possible that Cox will play a version of Matt Murdock — but not the exact same Matt Murdock — as the one from the Netflix series, much in the same way that J. Jonah Jameson is played by J.K. Simmons in both the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and the MCU.

In another curious twist, it’s being rumored that Vincent D’Onofrio could also be returning to the MCU as Kingpin in either Hawkeye or the upcoming Echo series on Disney Plus.

Very curious.

In the meantime, watch this throwdown between Cox and D’Onofrio from the Netflix series.
