We already know that early predictions for the “Captain America: Brave New World” film are not that great. They aren’t terrible, but they aren’t great either at $86-$95 million.
Now, theaters are starting to roll out announcements about offerings to entice people to buy tickets to the film. They don’t care if you actually show up; they just want to ensure tickets are sold.
Regal Cinemas has a new offer that is only good for the opening weekend.
I stand by my stance that they just want to increase opening weekend sales, using a special offer from Regal Cinemas, because it is ONLY for the opening weekend (February 14-17) and not the entire run of the film. Oh, and you need to have a Regal Crown Club account, too.
Leveraging the incredible popularity of Marvel Rivals, Regal Cinemas is offering a special offer of a digital bundle with the purchase of opening weekend tickets.
Level up your Marvel game🛡️
Get tickets to go see Captain America: Brave New World on opening weekend, and you’ll receive an exclusive digital bundle in Marvel Rivals, including a spray, nameplate, and mystery costume.

Those who participate in the offer will get a “nameplate featuring Captain America with his wings outstretched, a Spray of Red Hulk holding Cap’s shield, and a mystery costume.”
Here is how to get the free “Captain America: Brave New World” bundle
- Sign up for a Regal Crown Club account
- Use that account to buy a ticket to Captain America: Brave New World at a Regal Cinema
- Go to your screening and scan your ticket at the theater
- Check your email for a Marvel Rivals code
- Redeem the code by February 28, 2025
This tells me that theaters are worried about the box office for this film, and they are doing what they can to try to increase ticket sales. Which isn’t a good sign.
Who knows, maybe it will work.
I know they are also putting out a ridiculous number of theater-exclusive popcorn buckets and other items to try to drum up interest.
They seem really desperate about it, and I have to wonder why.
