Walt Disney World’s latest eatery, The Cake Bake Shop, located on the Disney Boardwalk, has been the center of controversy since the ridiculous pricing was first posted. Now, they just announced yet another expensive offering- Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea Service.

How much will this reservation ONLY service cost you? $95 per adult (plus tax) and $65 per child 12 and under (plus tax)!
The event happens daily, Monday-Sunday, from 1 PM-4 PM.
What does The Cake Bake Shop Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea service offer for that price?
According to The Cake Bake Shop’s Instagram account, this service offers imported French tea, homemade scones, finger sandwiches, and pastries.

It’s funny because people mocked the way the normal menu would spell basic foods the French way, then added a huge upcharge. For example, adding an “e” to the end of soup suddenly makes it twice the price. Calling French fries by their French name, “pomme frites,” also seems to increase the pricing.
It looks like you’ll get a three-tiered gold-colored serving dish that offers treats on the first two tiers and finger sandwiches on the bottom tier. Then tea and champagne are included (adults only).

The service is available for those with special dietary restrictions. They offer a Gluten-Free Afternoon Tea menu and a Vegetarian and Pescatarian Menu for the same price as the regular one.
This experience is reservation only. No walk-ins will be accepted. You must register at least 48 hours ahead.
To book this really expensive offering you can call The Cake Bake Shop location at 1-407-574-3040 Ext. 303 or email them at concierge@thecakebakeshop.com.
Maybe I should start calling my site “le site” or use the French word for blog, “bläɡ,” and I could demand higher ad rates? The Pirates and Princesses event was at Disneyland Paris originally, maybe I could have been demanding more money this whole time?
But I digress.
What do you think? Is this worth the over $100 per adult (after tax) price tag?
