Brach’s is releasing Ode to Candy Corn, a limited-edition perfume with notes of vanilla, spun sugar, and honey. It arrives on the first day of fall with a second drop October 1. This will likely be popular as candy corn is America’s top selling fall candy.
Someone at Brach’s decided the candy corn needed to be a perfume, and I don’t hate it.
Ode to Candy Corn is a limited-edition eau de parfum arriving September 22, the first day of fall, priced at $22 for a 1.7-ounce spray.
A second drop follows October 1 at CandyCornSeason.com.
What candy corn perfume smells like
The fragrance features three notes: creamy vanilla, spun sugar, and honey, which are the same flavor profile notes of the candy itself.
Candy corn you can wear.

This is likely going to sell out fast
Demand will likely be high for this novelty, and Brach’s seems to realize that.
Brach’s scheduled two drops. The first drop for the equinox on September 22, and a second drop for October 1, roughly a week and a half later.
No quantity has been announced for either drop.
Candy corn is the best-selling fall candy in America
This might be surprising to some, but candy corn is America’s top seller for the fall.
The 11-ounce bag of Brach’s Candy Corn is the number-one fall confection item in the country.
Brach’s said that seventeen percent of its annual sales happen before Labor Day, and more than half occur before October even begins.
The candy most associated with Halloween does the majority of its business before Halloween month starts. People are not buying candy corn for trick-or-treaters. They are buying it in August, for themselves, and eating it in the car, like my husband.
Candy corn has a solid fandom,
Kelly Peyser, director of Brach’s and seasonal marketing at Ferrara Candy Company, framed the launch around the fandom rather than the flavor.
“Candy Corn is the true marker of fall, and Team Candy Corn is passionate about their fandom, so this year, Brach’s is giving them a new way to express their love for the iconic treat,” Peyser said.
She described the fragrance as capturing “the sweetness, warmth and nostalgia that makes this time of year so special.”
How to get it
Both drops go live at CandyCornSeason.com, the first on September 22 and the second on October 1.
Brach’s has not said whether it will be sold anywhere else, or what happens if the two drops sell out.
