Both Ms. Marvel and Andor Series Set for Late 2022 Disney Plus Premier

Disney has been cranking out a large number of shows and film for their Disney Plus Streaming service. Most notably in the Star Wars and Marvel departments. Two shows that not many people were sure about their release window include a show from each brand, and recently some clarity on their release was shared via a Disney earnings call.

The first of those series is the upcoming Ms. marvel series starring Iman Vellani as the young Kamala Khan. Originally mean to release in late 2021 the COVID-19 Pandemic lead to it being pushed back to early 2022. But now it has been pushed back once again into late 2022. That makes the six episode mini-series premier closer to 2023’s The Marvels, a film that directly connects to this show that will see Kamala Khan will join forces with Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau.

The second series that has been given a late 2022 release slate is the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off series Andor. The series will see the return of Diego Luna as the titular Cassian Andor. The series serves as a prequel to the 2016 film as if you recall certain events that happened in the film make it impossible for a future story. The series will consist of a total of 12 episodes. Not much is known about the plot other than it is set five years before the original film in the early days of the Rebellion.

There are still a number of shows and projects Disney has planned for the service but no release dates have been given to those yet. Hopefully we will learn more in the future.
