Best Vegan Food:  “VBLT” Sandwich – $12.99

This returning holiday season best vegan food at Universal Orlando looks and tastes better than last year. The “VBLT” Sandwich has been served as the Universal Orlando Holidays media event a few times now. We mention that to indicate that Universal Orlando thinks it is good. It has made our Top Three Things articles also.

The preparation process for our sandwich at the Battery Park food and beverage location at Universal Studios Florida tasted better than last year. This vegan sandwich consists of rustic panini bread, smoked tempeh bacon, Divina tomatoes, arugula, vegan pepper jack cheese, and tomato aioli.

The texture of the bread combined with the tempah bacon makes this sandwich work well. The vegan pepper jack cheese and the tomato aioli enhance those components, making this a good savory option. Since our other two suggestions fall in the sweet department, you might need this sandwich to balance those out.

Jacket Sweet Potato – $10.99

For the first time we can remember, the London Tax Hut near the Diagon Alley entrance sells a special holiday option. The Jacket Sweet Potato at the London Taxi Hut consists of roasted sweet potato with maple butter, dried cranberries, vegan feta cheese, candied pecans, and pomegranate seeds.

Though we expected more sweetness, this vegan food option brings the feel of the holidays with dried cranberries and candied pecans. The maple butter makes a good adjustment for this vegan food item. Also, a warm treat for the cooler times at Universal Orlando might be exactly what guests need.

Vegan Cookie Butter Snowflake – $4.99

The most surprising vegan food option for the Holidays at Universal Orlando comes from Croissant Moon Bakery at Universal Islands of Adventure. One can also find it at San Francisco Pastry Company at Universal Studios Florida.

We stated that this treat came as a surprise to us. That relates to the fact that Universal Orlando Resort did not list this on the online menus published. In fact, as we type this report, Universal Orlando Resort has still not placed this item on the online menu.

Despite that, we love that the Vegan Cookie Butter Snowflake has returned. Last year, it was called the Holiday Vegan Butter Snowflake Cookie. We loved it last year. Sadly, this year, the quality is a little lower. Still, we found it well worth our time. The cake continues to offer a moist texture with just the right amount of sweetness. Even though this treat tasted fine on opening weekend, we expect, based on other ingredients arriving this week, that the cookie will improve as the event continues through December 31, 2023.

We hope this suggested list of the best vegan food at the Holidays at Universal Orlando aids in your visit. As always, eat like you mean it!
