Even Star Wars creator George Lucas can’t resist the phenomenon that is Baby Yoda. In a candid behind-the-scenes photo posted by The Mandalorian showrunner John Favreau on Instagram, Lucas is cuddling the fifty year old, multi-million dollar toddler.

George Lucas’ Contentious Relationship with Disney
Maybe George Lucas is coming around to Disney’s version of Star Wars after all? Not long after the release of The Force Awakens, Lucas seemed to have seller’s remorse after selling the Star Wars franchise to Disney. In a candid interview on Charlie Rose, Lucas called Disney “white slavers” and said that they tossed out his story ideas for episodes VII, VIII and IX.
Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Disney might have misled George Lucas when they purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, and that the legendary director felt “betrayed.”
Will George Lucas return to Star Wars in some capacity? There are rumors swirling that Lucas may return to that galaxy far, far away as a consultant.
And with Star Wars seemingly on the decline with the general public, it might be a good move for Disney to bring back the man who started it all to try and spark The Force once again.
Baby Yoda Costs $5 Million. Don’t Punch Him Too Hard.
The brightest star in Disney’s Star Wars galaxy right now isn’t the movies, or even the theme parks, but The Mandalorian on Disney Plus.
“Baby Yoda” is an undisputed hit with both old and new Star Wars fans. But just don’t punch him. The little guy costs something like $5 million.
I have to wonder if they told George not to drop him?
