Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was recently announced at this year’s E3 Expo, and offers a potentially promising next step in the world of James Cameron’s Avatar.
Frontiers of Pandora is described as an action – adventure title that allows the player to become a Na’vi and embark on a quest across the Western Frontier, a new section of Pandora. The official description describes the game as a “standalone story” with “a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters.”
The title is slated to release on next-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S), PC, Stadia, and Amazon’s Luna.
While no gameplay has been shown, the cinematic first look trailer displays the lush vistas of Pandora, both old and new, and those that inhabit it. From colorful beasts to formidable RDA machines, the potential for an experience as immersive as the first Avatar film is high.
