Amazon’s $25 Thanksgiving meal comes with an 8-pound Butterball

Amazon’s $25 Thanksgiving bundle is a cook-it-yourself kit with an 8-pound Butterball, 14 other items and free same-day delivery on qualifying orders. By sticker price, it’s the cheapest holiday meal deal we’ve tracked this year.

Amazon wants in on the Thanksgiving meal deal fight, and it came in with the lowest price on the board.

The $25 Thanksgiving Meal includes an 8-pound frozen Butterball turkey plus the fixings for mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, mac and cheese and pumpkin pie. It’s available now through Nov. 26, while supplies last, Parade and Grocery Dive reported.

The catch, if you want to call it that, is that you’re cooking. This isn’t a heat-and-serve dinner. It’s a box of ingredients and a frozen bird, delivered the same day.

Amazon didn’t say how many people it feeds. A common rule of thumb is about a pound of whole turkey per person, so an 8-pound bird covers roughly six to eight people. That’s our estimate, not Amazon’s.

What comes in Amazon’s $25 Thanksgiving meal?

Fifteen items, mostly name brands. Per Grocery Dive and Parade:

  • Turkey: 8-pound frozen Butterball

  • Sides: Stove Top turkey stuffing, two boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese, Ocean Spray jellied cranberry sauce and two McCormick turkey gravy mix packets

  • Green bean casserole: two cans of cut green beans, Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup and French’s crispy fried onions

  • Potatoes and veggies: a 5-pound bag of russet potatoes, two cans of corn and whole carrots

  • Bread and pie: crescent rolls, pie crusts, organic pumpkin puree and Nestle Carnation evaporated milk

The potatoes, corn, carrots, green beans, rolls, pie crusts and pumpkin come from Amazon’s own store brands.

Butter, eggs, spices and milk for the mashed potatoes aren’t listed. Check your pantry before you hit order.

How do you order the Amazon Thanksgiving meal?

Go to Amazon.com/ThanksgivingMeal, or search “$25 Thanksgiving Meal” in the Amazon app or website.

It ships through Amazon’s Same-Day Delivery, which now carries fresh and frozen groceries in more than 2,300 U.S. cities and towns. Qualifying orders of $25 or more get free same-day delivery, Parade reported.

Reports didn’t spell out membership rules or what counts as a qualifying order, so check the details at checkout. Your ZIP code decides whether the deal shows up at all.

How does Amazon’s meal compare to Walmart, Target and Aldi?

On sticker price, Amazon wins. Here’s how the big holiday meal deals stack up, using the prices we’ve reported this fall:

  • Amazon: $25, roughly six to eight people by our estimate, about $3 to $4 a person

  • Walmart: $35 holiday meal basket, feeds 10, about $3.50 a person

  • Aldi: under $39, feeds 10, about $3.90 a person

  • Target: $30, feeds six, about $5 a person

  • Costco: $199.99 fully prepared dinner, feeds eight, about $25 a person

The per-person math is ours. Every bundle includes different items, and Costco’s is the only one where someone else does the cooking. Still, $25 for a Butterball and the sides is hard to beat.

How is this different from Amazon’s 2025 Thanksgiving deal?

Last year’s version was called Feed 5 for $25. It also came with an 8-pound Butterball, but the sides were mostly ready-to-eat or ready-to-heat, like Reser’s stuffing and a pie, Grocery Dive reported.

This year’s kit leans hard into scratch cooking. You get pie crusts and pumpkin puree instead of a finished pie, and a bag of potatoes instead of tubs of mashed. More work, more food, same price.

What other Thanksgiving deals is Amazon running?

A few, and they stack nicely with a bigger holiday grocery run:

  • Frozen turkeys: 79 cents a pound, Nov. 1 to 26

  • Fresh turkeys: 99 cents a pound, Nov. 14 to 26

  • Pre-made sides: 40% off

  • Charcuterie and pantry snacks: 40% off

  • Hefty compostable plates, cups and utensils, plus Ziploc bags and containers: 20% off

Jason Buechel, who runs Amazon’s worldwide grocery stores and Whole Foods Market, said the deal makes it “even easier for customers to put a delicious meal on the table.”

The big question is supply. “While supplies last” usually means some ZIP codes sell out well before Nov. 26. If you want the $25 box, don’t wait until Thanksgiving Eve.
