All runDisney Individual Virtual Series Runs Sold Out- Virtual Challenge Still Available

runDisney had sold out of all their individual summer series runs yesterday and all they have left is the $145 Virtual Challenge that gives participants all three runs and the completer medal.

I have to admit, I’m surprised that the Virtual Challenge didn’t sell out first, but the 5th Year Anniversary runs based on the Mad Tea Party, Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion all sold out within hours of registration opening.

I was online trying to get my registration in when it went live yesterday and it took me quite a while to get through. Having done the virtual races before, I was surprised at how difficult it was to get a registration in, and how it sold out in hours! Normally, they are available for quite awhile!

I’m not sure what caused the quick sell-out. Maybe it was the really cool medals?  Maybe it’s because other runDisney events have been cancelled and runDisney fans want any opportunity to participate in an event?  Who knows, but no matter what the reason is, the $40, individual events are gone. You can still participate in all of them with the Virtual Challenge. Interested individuals need to move quickly on it because it could sell out soon.
