In previous years, Thursdays became announcement day for Halloween Horror Nights. If you are unaware, Halloween Horror Nights shines as the world’s premier scary Halloween themed event. This event happens at Universal Orlando during September and October of each year. The event functions as an after-hours paid event. The fan following of this event rivals any Orlando theme park event.
As I said, Thursday often functions as the announcement day for Halloween Horror Nights promotions. Of course, this usually starts happening in the late Spring/ early Summer leading right up to opening night of Halloween Horror Nights. This year to the surprise of many, the dates for Halloween Horror Nights were revealed on March 24th, 2022. This revelation shows great enthusiasm for the event since opening night will by September 2nd, 2022.
On nights in which Halloween Horror Nights happens, traditionally, Universal Studios Florida closes to the day guests at 5pm. For record, on those days, it opens at 8am (usually with early park admission starting at 7am). Officially, on Halloween Horror Night event evenings, Halloween Horror Night ticket holders may enter by 6:30 pm (perhaps earlier). Guests with day tickets and Halloween Horror Night ticket media may choose to “stay and scream” getting a jump on other guests in a type of early park admission.
So, about those dates? As per usual, the dates of this event primarily fall from Wednesday through Sunday with a few exceptions. Also, Universal Orlando has become infamous for adding dates along the way so we can wait and see on that. The dates are:
-All Friday through Sunday evenings in September and October.
-Every Thursday in September and October except September 1st
-Every Wednesday in September and October except for September 14th
-October 31st (Halloween) falls on a Monday so the final scheduled night of Halloween Horror Nights this year will be that Monday. This is only Monday Halloween Horror Night should happen.
As of today, single night tickets are available for sale. The multi-night tickets tend to be offered much closer to opening night.
