Guests attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary-Halloween-Party (MNSSHP) this year can receive this special Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card inspired by the special event’s new fireworks show, Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular—The Phantasmal Fireworks Flash card.
The Disney Parks Blog talked to Imagineer Jonathan Ackley and he explained where they got the inspiration for the card (by character synergy of course.)
“…the “Phantasmal Fireworks’ Flash” card was created after “Merlin the Magician was so impressed with – and excited – for the new spectacular that he created a spell in its honor!”
For guests who don’t know the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, is a free to play, interactive experience for all ages. Visit the Firehouse on Main Street U.S.A to get started with a free card pack and map. Join “Merlin’s quest to stop Disney Villains from taking over Magic Kingdom Park. Guests search for villain hideouts throughout the park and visit magic portals where they use spell cards to fight back against a villain’s plan.”
For those of you with tickets to MNSSHP you can receive your special card by visiting the Fire Station and register to play with their party ticket and event wristband to get the cards. Which is different because we always just went there on our way out to get our special card and didn’t play or scan anything. But our son likes to play and collect the cards!
